‘Businessmen should have clarity of their targets’
India is being recognised and respected in the global business arena as a credible player in all areas, including mergers and acquisitions, according to R. Dinesh, Managing Director, TVS Logistics Services.
Delivering the valedictory address at the eighth edition of YES CON 2018, a meet of young entrepreneurs across south India, here on Saturday, he said that unless businessmen had clarity about their targets, they would not grow.
The two-day conference held by Young Entrepreneur School of Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, saw the participation of over 1,000 members.
V. Neethi Mohan, Chairman, YES, said that the speakers provided space for a confluence of discussions. The conference‟s theme „India is ready. Are you?‟ also provided momentum to competitions held at the event, he said.
The conference saw a star-studded line-up of Chief Executive Officers and new entrepreneurs. R.L. Ravichandran, former CEO of Royal Enfield, spoke on brand building and revival. Kumar Vembu, founder and CEO of GoFrugal Technologies, spoke on „Zero follow-up‟.
The second day saw three competitions – a skit based on case studies, a value proposition presentation and a „reel life learning‟ management session. Saranyan, a delegate, said that it was a good learning experience. “I have understood finance and customer segregation,” he said.
S. Rethinavelu, chairman, Tamil Nadu Chamber Foundation, shared his expertise in business and growth. Conference convenor D. Gunasekar also spoke.
